  • The Marriage Covenant

Andrew & Leah Kneisler | Conference Room

Even though marriage involves a legal contract, a covenant goes beyond the minimum rights and responsibilities guaranteed by a contract. A covenant calls the spouses to share in the free total, faithful, and fruitful love of God. For it is God who joins the spouses in a more binding and sacred way than any human contract.  Let’s explore scripture together, whether you are married or in a dating relationship, and come learn about how scripture can be instrumental in this godly union.

  • Growing Deeper: a study in spiritual renewal

Rick Morefield, Sam Valenzuela, Judi Stradinger, Bob Bonness | Library

The class will provide an interactive opportunity to grow deeper by studying six areas of the Christian life: prayer-filled life, virtuous life, spirit-empowered life, compassionate life, Word-centered life, and sacramental life. We will read selections from great devotional writers including C.S. Lewis, St. Augustine, and Dietrich Bonhoeffer.  The goal is to nurture a balanced and living faith in everyone who attends.  This class is well suited for both new and mature Christians.

  • Know What They Believe - World Religions

Ron & Kay Sterk, David Lefebvre | Room B-4

Ever wonder what other religions believe and how differ from Christianity? Get an overview of about 30 of the most prominent, and some not-so-prominent but interesting, world religions. Since most religions will be covered in one class, this is an ideal study to drop in at any time.

  • Followership 101: an exploration of the Christian faith

Rob & Kim Merrill, Eric & Cathy Knudsen | Conference Room

Jesus asked folks to do more than just believe in him.  He called us to FOLLOW HIM.  “F-101” is an exploration of the basic truths and teachings of the Christian faith.  Each week, we’ll discuss practical topics like faith, relationships, prayer, money, Bible study, church, family, culture and temptation.  In these important matters of life, just what is Jesus asking of His followers?   What difference does it make how we respond to His call?
