The workday at City Union Mission, originally scheduled from 9am-noon on August 1st, has been cancelled. But there are still other oppportunities to serve with City Union Mission...

There are various different opportunities...from sorting/handing out school supplies, providing childcare, working in the pantry and interviewing families (you would have the opportunity to share the Gospel)! You can find more information at www.cumission.org/volunteercore.htm, contact Shawna (see below) or the volunteer coordinator at City Union Mission. His name is Parks Sims at 816.329.1487 or parks.sims@cumission.org.

In addition, you still have an opportunity to donate bibles. A bible is given to and the Gospel is shared with every person that walks through the doors at City Union Mission. If your group is interested in donating towards this need contact me since we will be taking down the bins for collection this weekend.

Here is a link to a short video about the Mission that I would encourage you to watch...God is doing amazing things and the need is great! www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJ_9NlmWDnO0

Lastly, your group can always be praying for City Union Mission and the men, women and children that they serve.
